About
Hi, I’m Melanie. I am a creative and detail-driven Product Designer, currently working in-house at one of the fastest growing B2B digital signage companies in the world. During my day-to-day, I focus on crafting intuitive, elegant, and functional user-centric experiences for embedded systems and the software that powers them. I do this through thorough user research, tons of cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to balancing aesthetic appeal with seamless functionality, helping users achieve their personal and business goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son, organizing my home, playing mobile games, and indulging in a steady stream of sitcoms. Recently, I’ve been diving deeper into career development, with a growing fascination for emerging technologies and their role in consumer electronics. I’m particularly intrigued by the apps and dashboards powering smart TVs and vehicle interfaces. While I’m thriving in my current role, I’m eager to explore opportunities that align with my passion for innovation in the consumer electronics or automotive industries.

We’re a car family. On our first date, my husband and I decided to “race” to my apartment: he in his 2002 Ford F-150, me in my 2008 Ford Taurus. I won… but that might’ve had something to do with my knowing where to go (and being able to get from 0-60 faster than he could). Eight years later, we’ve remanded to the quiet “super suburbs” of Chicago, where my husband works as a mechanic at a classic car shop and a 1979 Plymouth sits in our garage, waiting for some attention. We love driving. We love being in cars. And we like looking at cars. And while my husband prefers to immerse himself in the automobiles of the past, I am more interested in being a part in building the vehicles of the future.

Well, who doesn’t love TV? Some of my fondest memories of my childhood include sitting at my grandparent’s apartment in Brooklyn, NY and watching whatever I could find of mild interest on their 13 channels. Coming from a single-parent immigrant family, my mom worked a lot; TV and dial-up were my companions. As I aged, my electronics aged with me. Dial-up quickly became WiFi, my flip phone became a super computer in my pocket, and suddenly cable was replaced with streaming on a smart TV. Now, as I raise my own family, I find myself eager to solve whatever friction I experience when trying to relax. Not just for myself—but for everyone.

I want to make a meaningful impact by creating seamless, frictionless experiences that effortlessly enhance people’s daily lives—even if they don’t realize it.
